MISSION AND GOALS
Center for Diné Studies Division
The mission of the Diné Studies Division is to prepare students
for responsible life challenges according to Sa'ah Naagháí
Bik'eh Hózhóón. The program is designed to develop
students' knowledge, skills, values, and confidence in promoting responsible
academic performance of higher learning in Navajo language, culture, history
and government.
PROGRAM GOALS
Center for Diné Studies Division
The goals of the Center for Diné Studies Division are to prepare
individuals in the following areas:
Nitsáhákees:

Critical interpretations and thinking, theoretical analysis and reasoning;
used to compare and contrast as these relate to Navajo language, culture,
history and government.

Develop students' professional knowledge and skills to analyze alternative
solutions through logic and creativity.
Nahat'á:

Action and implementing thought: carrying out ideas and putting ideas in
place.

Develop and demonstrate communication skills.

Demonstrate systematic organization skills.
