Dear Student Athlete,

Congratulations on your outstanding season. It’s one of the biggest accomplishments for any student athlete. I hope you will continue pursuing your dreams as a collegiate athlete.

We have a strong Cross Country program that has been able to win sixteen men national titles in the last nineteen years and one women’s team national championship. The Archery program is strong as well. Last year our Women Compound Team was National Champs. Our Rodeo program is working hard to improve. Now it’s time for us to continue our success by receiving the best athletes that will join us. We are confident that you will be an important part of this program. Diné College Athletics will provide you with opportunities in collegiate sports, cultural interaction, competitive races, travel and one on one interaction with instructors.

All of our student athletes are WALK-ONS. We do not offer athletic scholarship to student athlete until we know there financial needs. However we do offer athletic scholarship. First you need to Register with Diné College and after Registration, confirm you are enrolled, and then I will go to Financial Aid Office.

This is what you can expect from Diné College Athletics when you come join us:t

• Our athletes at Diné College have a chance to get a higher education.
• We are giving our athletes a chance to play collegiate sports.
• When we, Diné College are on Travel for a Team event, the College will provide for food, lodging, and transportation for team members only chosen by the Head Coach.
• We will not be responsible for student/athlete travel to and from dorm (for Classes).
• Please follow rules of scholarship contract, letter of intent, instructor syllabi and Diné College Catalog, Student Code of Conduct (approved by Board of Regents) and Diné College Catalog (approved by Board of Regents).
• The Athletic Director has a budget for athletic scholarships and allocates scholarships to Head Coaches. (After budget is approved by Board of Regents; then VP Finance; then VP ASA).
• Athletic Scholarships are semester to semester based on Grades, Participation in Team events, and Behavior and the Head Coach will give out scholarship to his/her team as chooses.
