Head Coach

Originally from Flagstaff, Az. and attended Coconino High School, i've been a runner for 29yrs and coaching for 18yrs. Now living in Shiprock, NM. Attended Dine' College from 1997-1999, receiving an AA Degree, earning 5 All-American honors. Attended Fort Lewis College and working toward a double major in Exercise Science/ Bi-Cultural studies.

The last 9yrs I was the head Cross Country Coach, 5yrs Head Track coach at Navajo Preparatory School in Farmington, NM. Where we built a strong program, the 2004-2006 girls team won Back to Back State Championships. 10 All State Girls runners, 5 All-State Boys runners. Named Coach of the Year in 2004-2006. I hold a Level II New Mexico State coaching license.

As a runner I've competed in 10 marathons, nearly qualifying for the 1996 Olympic Marathon trials with a Personal best of 2:23:50, 1:06:00 half marathon, 30:50 10k, 14:48 5k.

My goal is to develop a strong Native American Cross Country program, recruiting Native kids from New Mexico and Arizona high schools. I want Student/Athletes who are willing to work hard both in the classrooms and on the field.
