Financial Aid

General Information

The Financial Aid and Scholarship supports the College’s mission by providing access and equal opportunity for financial assistance to eligible students through federal, tribal, state, institutional, and private sources regardless of sex, color, age, or other circumstance.

The Mission of Diné College is to apply the Sa’ah Naaghai Bek’eh Hozhoon principles to advance quality student learning:

  • through Nitsáhákees (Thinking), Nahatá (Planning), Iiná (Living) and Siih Hasin (Assuring).
  • in study of Diné language, history and culture.
  • in preparation for further studies and employment in a multi-cultural and technological world.
  • in fostering social responsibility, community service and scholarly research that contribute to the social, economic and cultural well being of the Navajo Nation.

Throughout your academic career you will:

  3. Follow your degree checklist / program of study

Siih Hasin (Assuring)

When you complete the cycle of Sa’ah Naaghai Bek’eh Hozhoon, we:

  1. Prepared you for further studies and employment in a multi-cultural and technological world
  2. Contributed to your success through financial resources
  3. Helped you to understand the financial aid application cycle
  4. Made you aware of what could affect your eligibility, and
  5. Contributed to your educational goal of obtaining a Certification or Associate’s degree.
