TSAILE, Ariz.— Diné college will offer 358 courses this fall with all but 10 courses to be offered online, and staff are getting ready for the return of students by instituting campus-wide safety measures, a $6.4 million technology upgrade, developing a laptop loaner program, and other student success measures. INDIAN COUNTRY TODAY – There are some notable “firsts” on the list of newly elected members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The organization is the nation’s oldest honor society, founded in 1780 by John Adams, John Hancock and other scholars. This year’s firsts includes eight Indigenous scholars, a record number. Diné College 2020 Census Matters
It is important for all Native Americans to participate in the 2020 Census. Don’t miss your chance to be counted. Your participation could help where billions in funding go each year for public services and representation our government.
The Navajo (Diné) language is the most spoken indigenous language in America. We would like to encourage our students to utilize the language skills they’ve picked up here at Diné College to complete the 2020 Census. Visit the Census 2020 website to see how the United States Census supports 59 languages, including Navajo!
