Diné College Recognized for Advancing Faculty Engagement in Articulation Task Force Meetings

    Phoenix, Ariz., Diné College has been honored with the Institutional Improvement Award for its exceptional efforts in increasing faculty participation at Articulation Task Force (ATF) meetings by 18%. This achievement underscores the college’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in higher education.  

    Mikayla Largo, Director of Assessment and Curriculum in the Academic Affairs department at Diné College, accepted the award during the Facilitator Training Retreat held in Phoenix on June 24. The event brought together Arizona colleges and universities to discuss strategies for advancing course articulation, improving faculty engagement and strengthening partnerships. 

    “These ATF meetings are invaluable to our institution to ensure students can continue their educational journey without a loss of credits,” Largo said. “This award highlights the dedication of our faculty to working collaboratively across institutions for the benefit of our students.”  

    Articulation Task Force meetings play a vital role in promoting cooperation among Arizona’s higher education leaders. These gatherings provide a platform for reviewing curriculum standards, developing pathways for student success, and fostering a collaborative approach to addressing pressing educational and industry needs. 

    The Facilitator Training Retreat, which hosted the awards ceremony, serves as a hub for dialogue and innovation among educators, policymakers, and advocates. Its wide-ranging focus on areas like sustainability and workforce development reflects a broader commitment to equipping students and institutions for future success.
