High School Students Explore Agriculture and Culture Through Diné College’s AGR 101 Summer Program
TSAILE, Ariz., July 22, 2025. Diné College’s AGR 101 summer program inspired 11 Navajo high school students to pursue agricultural science careers.
Held from July 6 to 18, the free program integrated Navajo ecological knowledge with modern science, offering hands-on experiences, mentorship, and college credits.
Sponsored by the Land Grant Office and New Beginnings project, AGR 101 fosters leadership, environmental stewardship, and cultural preservation, creating pathways to advanced degrees and future careers in agriculture.
