PATRICK D. LYNCH NAMED DEAN OF STEM AT DINÉ COLLEGE

    TSAILE, ARIZ. Diné College is proud to announce the appointment of Patrick D. Lynch, M.P.H., M.Admin., FACHE, as the new Dean of STEM, effective May 27, 2025. A member of the Diné Nation from Window Rock, AZ, Lynch brings over 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare administration and education to this pivotal role.

    Before joining Diné College, Lynch held notable positions with Tsehootsooi Medical Center and the Indian Health Service (IHS) at various facilities, including Gallup Indian Medical Center, Tohatchi Health Center, and Chinle IHS Hospital. Earlier in his career, he served as a Health Planner for the Navajo Department of Behavioral Health Services and as Director of the To’Hajiilee Behavioral Health System for six years.

    Complementing his administrative career, Lynch has a strong academic presence as an experienced educator. He has taught Public and Community Health courses as an adjunct instructor at Diné College, Fort Lewis College, and Northern Arizona University. His commitment to education aligns closely with Diné College’s mission of fostering academic excellence and cultural preservation.

    Lynch holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.P.H. in Community Health Intervention from the University of New Mexico, as well as a Master of Administration in Healthcare Administration from Northern Arizona University. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), solidifying his expertise in leadership and strategic planning.

    A dedicated advocate for education, Lynch continues to serve on the Window Rock Unified School District Board of Education and has previously contributed as a member of the Navajo Nation Board of Education and the To’Hajiilee Community School Board. His service extends to his military background as a veteran of the U.S. Army and the New Mexico Army National Guard.

    Beyond his professional achievements, Lynch enjoys golfing, mountain biking, hiking, and staying active. He is a devoted husband and father of two. His daughter studies at Arizona State University, while his son attends Haskell Indian Nations University.

    With his impressive blend of administrative expertise, teaching experience, and passion for the Navajo community, Lynch’s appointment signals a bright future for the STEM program at Diné College.
