Diné College Cross Country Team Shines at NTU Invitational
CROWNPOINT, N.M. October 10, 2025. The Diné College cross country team had a great day at the Invitational Meet hosted by Navajo Technical University (NTU) on October 10, 2025. The race was a dual meet, meaning only two teams competed—NTU and Diné College—but it was still an exciting and competitive event.
“Our boys did really well today, even though it was just us racing against NTU,” said Wyatt Davis, the Diné College cross country coach. “Our first male runner finished with a time of 29 minutes, and our only female runner came in second place against three NTU girls with a time of 37 minutes flat.”
The weather was perfect for running, with cloudy skies keeping the athletes cool. Coach Davis was proud of how hard his team worked and how well they performed. “Everyone did really great at the meet,” he said. “It’s always nice to see their hard work pay off.”
The day before the race, on October 9, some of the team members traveled to Farmington, New Mexico, to buy new running shoes. “It was a good trip to get the team ready,” Davis said. “Not everyone could come, but those who did were excited to prepare for the meet.”
The Invitational Meet showed how dedicated and hardworking the Diné College runners are. They continue to represent their school and community with pride.
