Diné College Announces Solar Farm Construction Project to Enhance Energy Efficiency

TSAILE, AZ – Diné College announces the commencement of a construction project aimed at strengthening the college’s commitment to sustainable energy and environmental stewardship. The project, part of a YEAROUT Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contract (GESPC), will see the installation of a new solar farm designed to provide clean, renewable energy to the campus.

Project Overview:

Project Name: YEAROUT Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contract (GESPC) – Solar Farm

Scope of Work: Installation of piping from the solar farm located south of the campus into 1 Circle Dr., near the road access to the South Parking Lot. This project also includes lightning replacement work that will be conducted without requiring power interruptions to any campus buildings.

Duration: The construction work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 8:00 AM and is expected to conclude on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 5:00 PM.

Campus Advisory:
Students, faculty, staff, and administrators are advised to avoid all areas where construction activity is taking place. Contractor Yearout and subcontractors will implement safety measures, including barriers and signs, and may close off areas affected by construction activities. All are encouraged to drive carefully near construction zones.
